Diwali Gifting Made Easy

by Lisa D'Mello on October 14, 2019

I LOVE the festive season - the warm, fuzzy feeling of catching up with family and friends, eating all things delicious and dancing the night away is something I look forward to all year. Unfortunately after every festive season comes the post-festive season, when your body and skin send you that dreadful SOS - trying to recover from all those sweets, food, alcohol etc. So this year I promised myself that I would take better care of myself through the festive season and extended this ideology to my gifting - giving meaningful gifts that invest in people. Whether it’s their skin, hair, body or their brain I suggest making it a little easier for everyone to get through the festive season.

Here are my top  favorite gift ideas that are easy on the skin + the eyes:

I love this foundation because its super lightweight and doesn’t block pores. With having to wear a lot of makeup that lasts through multiple events this is my go to product. What’s also a major factor for me is products that don't grease up my already oily skin. This product is great for absorbing excess oil and prevents breakouts-win/win!

2. Vegan/ Healthy Sweets

The great thing about vegan sweets is that no animals were harmed in the making of them (good karma points for you) and they’re a lot better for the environment as well (Yogisattva and Fitness Bakery are our favs). Choosing healthy sweets or nuts is always a great option as well because they don't help contribute to excess sugar that can lead to weight gain and pimples...yikes!

3. Rejuvenation + Repair Night Serum

With all the parties your skin needs to repair and rejuvenate itself asap and our Rejuvenation and Repair Night Serum works as you sleep. Not only does it use the most potent ingredients like pomegranate, rosehip, seabuckthorn and hemp that have been proven to have amazing anti aging properties they are also light on your skin.

4. Glossier Cloud Paint (Storm)

Ok I’m obsessed! I don't wear makeup a lot but when I do want to spruce it up a bit I use this gorgeous cheek tint. I cannot tell you how wonderful this tint is on Indian skin. Gift it to your favorite girl pals and I suggest investing in the whole set with Lidstar eye shadows (Cub).

5. Rose Toner

October is hot and celebrations can sometimes lead to an oily T zone. Rose toner/hydrosol can do wonders for your skin in those situations. Not only does it keep skin oil free, our witch hazel hibiscus combo helps reduce inflammation, acne and skin damage.
