With so many skincare products out there and more and more being introduced daily it can get tricky keeping track of what does what, but no worries, we’ve got you! You may have heard of toners already because they’ve been on the market for a while and there’s a good reason why this product has withstood the test of time.

So what exactly is a toner?

A toner is made of hydrosols or floral water with some containing herbal or floral extracts to give it that extra boost of nutrients. A toner is water based and penetrates fast into the skin thus hydrating it. You could also use a toner to help remove dead skin cells on the skin surface - helping tone it and giving it that healthy glow.

When to use it ?

Toners should be used after cleansing on a clean face and neck, as it helps remove dirt that got away from your cleanser. Allow your toner to dry, dowsing your skin with nutrients before moving to the next step in your daily routine.

Why is it essential?

Toners are a beauty essential because of their multifunctional characteristics - they help exfoliate, tone and hydrate skin. Toners have varying properties depending on the ingredients and you can choose toners specific to your skin type.
